Come & See All Age Football - Pottery GreenLane Cove Football Club is a community based club, with over 600 players in 50 teams from Under 6, through Youth and All Age (Men and Women) to Over 35’s and Over 45’s. One of our key objectives is to provide a pathway to enjoyable and competitive football for all players into their adult lives. Lane Cove Football Club’s goal is one day to have All Age Premier League teams drawn substantially from previous junior players win the KDSA Men’s and Women’s titles.
In order to promote tighter links between all age groups within our club, we are encouraging the junior teams to support the All Age teams and vice versa. Our first initiative is for junior teams to participate in All Age “home” games at Pottery Green every two weeks.
At every home game, selected junior age groups will be invited to form a ‘guard of honour’ when our team runs on. During the game, the players will be able to act as ball boys/girls, and at half time there will be a brief small sided game (referee permitting).
Whilst each age group will be invited a couple of times during the season, ALL players from the club are invited to EVERY home game, and we are hoping for lots of ‘blue and gold’ at every game!
For those who don’t know Pottery, it is down behind the Lane Cove Pool, and the ground has amenities and a banked area from which to watch the game. We are proposing to have the Pottery Green canteen open with a sausage sizzle as the season progresses. Coffee shops are a stroll away.
This is a great opportunity to see competitive football at Lane Cove’s highest level, so it will be enjoyable for kids and adults alike! So we are encouraging families to come along and enjoy an afternoon at Pottery Green!
